Trip Overview

Summit the UK's highest peak at 1,345m in the Scottish Highlands. Ben Nevis is the ultimate UK mountain challenge — standing on the summit means you're higher than anywhere else in the British Isles. The Mountain Track (tourist path) provides a clear, well-maintained route to the top, but don't be fooled — this is a serious mountain with over 1,300m of continuous ascent. The approach from Glen Nevis is spectacular, with views opening up across the Highlands as you climb. Above the halfway lochan, the terrain becomes rockier and more exposed. Cloud often shrouds the summit, but when it clears, the views are extraordinary — across the Great Glen, to the Inner Hebrides, and on exceptional days, to Ireland.

"This was my first time cycling with Adventure Cafe; first time riding from London to Paris and my first time riding this sort of distance over 3 days. Lots of preparation had gone into this from AC prior to departing London."
