Trip Overview

A classic city-to-city ride that takes you from London to Amsterdam in three days. The route heads east through Essex to Harwich, where you board the overnight ferry to Hook of Holland. From there, you ride through the flat Dutch countryside along dedicated cycle paths to Amsterdam. The mix of English countryside, a ferry crossing, and the cycling paradise of the Netherlands makes this an incredibly varied and rewarding ride. With Dutch cycle infrastructure being the best in the world, the final day into Amsterdam is pure joy. This route is surprisingly achievable despite the long total distance.

"This was my first time cycling with Adventure Cafe; first time riding from London to Paris and my first time riding this sort of distance over 3 days. Lots of preparation had gone into this from AC prior to departing London."
