Trip Overview
A beautiful skyline route taking in the best ridges and edges of the Peak District. This classic circular walk follows the dramatic gritstone edges that define the Dark Peak landscape — Stanage Edge, Bamford Edge, and more — with sweeping views across the Hope Valley and beyond. The Peak District Skyline is one of England's finest day walks, combining dramatic rock scenery with heather moorland and wooded valleys. The terrain is varied and interesting throughout, and the route can be adjusted to suit different fitness levels.
Who is this for?
A moderate challenge suitable for regular walkers. Some sections follow exposed edges but no scrambling is required. Good basic fitness and comfortable walking shoes/boots are all you need.
