Trip Overview
A stunning marathon route through the Lake District following the classic Cumbria Way. This long-distance trek takes you through the heart of the Lakes — past shimmering tarns, beneath towering fells, and through ancient woodland. It's a marathon distance but the scenery makes every step worthwhile. The Cumbria Way is one of England's finest long-distance paths, and our marathon section captures the very best of it. With well-maintained paths and spectacular views throughout, this is marathon trekking as it should be.
Who is this for?
Marathon distance requires good fitness and endurance. You should be comfortable walking 8+ hours. The terrain is generally good paths but the distance is demanding.
